“The Amani Health Centre”

Ekerenyo Amani Health Centre had its grand opening in February 2022, and is now registered as a Level 3 health care facility.  Teams have been traveling twice a year for 10 years to Ekerenyo, Kenya.  Made up of people throughout the U.S., these teams have been holding medical/dental/eye camps inside the Learning Centre for thousands of villagers from the surrounding area.  Yet another dream realized.

The new Health Centre will provide for continual healthcare in the area when our teams aren’t there, and will allow the Learning Centre and providing of health care to operate simultaneously, year round in 2023. The goal of the new building is to increase healthcare accessibility and boost the economy while employing local Kenyans.

Our staff in Kenya now includes a full time Clinical Officer, Nurse, Security man, Cleaning person and Librarian, part time Ophthalmologist, Lab Technician, and a Dentist.

Plans for next year include hiring a clinic administrator, purchasing and installing a Hospital Management Information System, training our own staff to be Ophthalmology assistents, identifying community needs for educational purposes, increasing use of the facility.

In 2023 while developing a 5 year plan which will include joining the Christian Health Association of  Kenya  and considering patient payments for sustainability,  fundraising to support local Kenyan hospital workers will be a focus for Amani Partners Kenya.
