The Amani Mission Team has finished up the February medical Camp. The team worked on continued upgrading of equipment, training, and completing over a dozen cataract surgeries.
Below are some pictures of two local eye surgeons, Dr. Frank Okada Nyakagwa and Dr. Barake Atunga Dennis, working alongside Dr. Michel Gelinas from the Amani Mission Team.

We wanted to pass on to you the latest news !
1. The Amani Health Centre has been officially registered as a hospital by the Kenyan government! This is what we’ve needed and worked toward, and it is huge!
2. The midwife just gave us a list of what all is needed in order to deliver babies there, and it totalled $5,000. A generous donor family, without blinking an eye, sent a check for $5,300 to cover the cost!
3. Our Clinical Officer said that two women have registered to have their babies at Amani Centre next month!

Our Kenya mission team finished up the February 2020 medical camp on the 22nd. They stayed for the first time their last night in the newly finished guest rooms on the second floor. We can’t wait to hear how that went upon their return! Here are some pictures in random order.
